ZAG is a short visual novel made for the Nanoreno 2024!
It's about Teddy, a new (half-demonic) student who's supposed to get a school tour.
(Instead, he somehow ended up at the newspaper club - reading through newspaper clippings with the other members.)

interesting game, im worried abt what caused Mickey to burn the whole cafeteria tho, will there be a part 2 which will explain why she did it? (plus, karo looks amazing)

review:
so to be honest this game i didnt like as much as the other games (please dont get mad kathinka) but there is no yuri. also the mc was a male this time which i didnt expect, and for some reason everyone is related somehow, like there is 2 groups, 1 group is all family and so is the other one and it could be confusing for some. the dialog was nice, for some reason the music and sound didnt work for me at all (i played web version) only 1 sound effect played at like the middle and stopped. the art style just never misses, and i personally think that its evolving, like pokemon, its getting stronger everytime and i would love to see more of the art in future games. the game also had this warm cozy feel to it which was nice. this was short but understandable for a gamejam. definitely a kathinka game but not as strong as her other games imo, def looking forward to more kathinka yuri games.
Don't worry, you're allowed to have your own opinion on the game - though your reason did make me laugh! This is the funniest criticism I've gotten till now hahaha (Though I need you to put on ur Yuri-Goggles and look more closely..... Nati (the tanned girl) has a crush on the MCs cousin Mickey (who is also a girl).... Hidden Yuri :^) )
Otherwise, I can totally see how the character relations can be confusing... The story is set in a small town with huge families x'D The music could have just been too quiet (it's an issue I didn't get around to fix TvT)
The part about my art style evolving was super cute - I'm happy you think so!!!
Hopefully my next game will have more Yuri in it π«‘π«‘ (Though there is a high probability that it'll be a male MC again lol)
well thanks for giving me the honor of giving the funniest criticism lol.
i dont really focus on minor details when playing yuri games, because when i play those games, its like a switch, i see yuri, neurons activated, i love yuri. so i mightve not noticed it.
i also have a huge family which is complicated af so i could relate to that part at least lol.
of course. i am very excited to see your art grow even more. i really hope you and your art could accomplish amazing things in the future. though your storytelling is also very good, and though is already amazing, i think you have even more potential. i would very much like to do something together if im able to.
you are the creator, its all up to you to add yuri or not, but i really want it ngl. about the male mc, just guessing but maybe its going to be something like the mc is going to help the girls together? its like another game i played and liked but im just guessing. but at least this time im gonna be prepared to be the guy in the game. anyways thanks so much for responding. it makes me very happy that you are a person that communicates with their fans and chats with them. am excited for the next game!

Super cute and cozy, this makes me want to join a newspaper club/group of silly little guys like this!! Even though the gameplay is short (and sweet) the characters are lovable and once again, I yearn for the warmth I felt with the little stories and interactions in this game ! :3
Also the little twist (?) in the endings with the casual, less fantastical nature of this game are yay yayyy yippee!! For some reason I imagined this set in a similar/same universe as Heartburn when the cafe was mentioned lol (GO PLAY HEARTBURN BY KATHINKA MY FAV KATHINKA GAME!!!!)
Anyways 110 out of 10 wonderful as always!!

I can totally see why you'd think this is set in the same world as Heartburn (casual, fluffy fantasy world), but it's actually not x'D I just loooove writing similiar things lmao
